William E. Crutchfield Inducted into Worldwide Who’s Who for Excellence in Business Consulting

Demonstrating 18 years of expertise, William Crutchfield helps clients reach their company goals



ATLANTA, GA, May 1, 2013, William Crutchfield, President and Chief Executive Officer of Serious Business Consultants Incorporated, has been recognized by Worldwide Who’s Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in consulting.

A retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel, Mr. Crutchfield formed Serious Business Consultants to help veteran-owned Information Technology companies establish their own businesses, succeed and plan for the future. He helps clients set up accounting and personnel systems, and establish government contracts.

Mr. Crutchfield has 18 years in the field of business consulting, with 14 years as president and chief executive officer of Serious Business Consultants. His other daily responsibilities include assisting with proposal preparation and submissions, consulting on tax solutions, marketing and outsourcing for subcontractors. Prior to forming Serious Business Consultants, Mr. Crutchfield worked as Program Director for Lockheed Martin, and Vice President of operations and contracts for Drayton, Drayton & Lamar, Inc.

During his time in the U.S. Army, Mr. Crutchfield worked at the Pentagon and was deployed to Germany, Korea and Vietnam. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, he received the Army Commendation Medal in combat, the Meritorious Award (six awards), the Legion of Merit, and the Comptroller of the Year Award. After his retirement, he became an independent consultant for various companies. He also served as a resource manager comptroller for 28 years in the U.S. Army before forming Serious Business Consultants.

Mr. Crutchfield attributes his success to his religious beliefs, hard work and perseverance. He became involved with his profession because he wanted to give back. He received many opportunities upon leaving the U.S. Army, so he wanted to help veterans build their businesses.

Graduating from the George Washington University and the University of Maryland University College, Mr. Crutchfield received a Master of Science in finance and a Bachelor of Science in business management with a concentration in Accounting and Personnel Management. His affiliations include the Institute of Management Accountants, Inc., the Society of Cost Estimating and Analysis, the American Association of Budgeting and Program Analysis and the National Society of Accountants. In the years to come, Mr. Crutchfield plans to extend his business and help more veterans and entrepreneurs become successful.
